      Erratic Speeds

      Evening all, not been on here for a while.....mainly because my sky package across the board has been perfect!!

      Over the last few weeks, I've noticed that my internet connection seems to have slowed down. My line is still syncing at 13Mb, but I'm getting anywhere between 1mb & 10mb depending on when I test the line - current router stats are as follows: (note, I have only just reset the router)

      Any general thoughts, suggestion etc to either improve speed, or make the connection speed more reliable would be greatly appreciated!!

      Currently hovering around 4mb on average at the moment!

      You using WiFi? If so, try Ethernet or check for other routers using the same channel as you

      It may help to know roughly where you are in the country. There are various reports on the forum describing server outages and Internet problems due to the weather.

      Also if those are your current stats, how are you testing your connection speed? On-Line Speed Test sites can be unreliable when they are busy. Try the one on this site as it doesn't get hit as much. Click the 'tools' button above to find it.

      Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
      Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
