      Unhappy Very Poor Speeds

Last year I was getting download speeds of about 0.5mbps, so I wizzed off a complaint. A very nice man responded and my speed duly went up to about 3.5 for a few weeks, before reverting to previous levels. After putting up with this for a few months I wizzed off another complaint and a very nice and knowlegable lady whisked the speed up to a mind blowing 2mbps, promising to keep an eye on it all. She did, by which time it had reverted back to 0.43mbps. A bit of juggling and between us we got the speed up to 2mbps. Line tests on all occasions were clear. Less than two weeks later speeds have dropped back, so much so that I am slower than before, namely 0.33. Uploads are faster than downloads!
Methinks I am being seriously throttled! I have tried the optimiser to no avail. What does anybody suggest?

      Re: Very Poor Speeds

Error code 200 means no IP address but you're heavily capped. Call Sky and you should get 4-5Mbps with a manual config of the line

Have you checked your internal wiring is not causing a problem and that all phone sockets in use have a filter installed first before anything else is plugged in?

      Re: Very Poor Speeds

In this case I'd give tech support a call. Explain the situation make sure all troubleshooting is done so that your setup is correct and have the case escalated to the CST team who will then investigate further and will work with BT if needed to. Good luck keep me updated on how you get on.
