For the last few weeks My internet speed has dropped by ~ 2MBPS leaving it at a ~ 0.80mbps It was always on the 2.5-3 Mark before. I've tried it on my wireless laptop and my computer and it's the same on both. Nothings changed about my subscription or anything. this is from my sky route page.

      It's a D-Link 12v PVG81AC036154

I take it you've done the obvious like rebooting the router and trying your test socket (assuming you have one)?

Is that splitter in the socket before the filter for the router? If so, there's your issue as the TV isn't filtered off from the BB. Remove everything and just plug the filter in with the router attached and see what you get

Re: Sudden drop in Speed (~2mbps)

0.8mbps I wish i could get that high!!! Last year I was getting about 0.5, so I wizzed off a complaint. A very nice man responded and my speed duly went up to about 3.5 for a few weeks. After putting up with this for a few months I wizzed off another complaint a very nice and knowlegable lady whisked the speed up to a mind blowing 2mbps, promising to keep an eye on it all. She did, by which time it had reverted back to 0.43mbps. A bit of juggling and between us we got the speed up to 2mbps. Line tests on all occasions were clear. Less than two weeks later speeds have dropped back, so much so that I am slower than before, namely 0.33.
Methinks I am being seriously throttled! I have tried the optimiser to no avail. What does anybody suggest?
