When does the DLM actually start? I know it can take 10 days but is the process the whole 10 days or does it just start on a random day when it can.

Day four and my account says

I'm just being impatient I guess

DLM can take up to 3 days to start when it is run initially. However when it is 'started' by Sky help, it should begin more or less right away. I think you should call them again and ask them what is going on. You may have been fobbed of by someone with no interest in actually helping you..

Well I spoke to them 2 days ago and they said they would start DLM (again) it still says phone line is not being tested on my account and now my speed has gone from 3772 to 3072 so now when I can get online I only get 2.5mb

Could be time to give up as I never seem to get through to someone that can actually do something about it!

If you have a sync of 3072 it probably means you are still on G.DMT, so DLM will not have started. If I were you I would call them and ask them to put the line on ADSL2+ and configure it manually. You may have to call a few times to get someone capable of doing it.

Re: Internet drops when more then one device connected

OMG, had so many issues with trying to get sky to switch me to ADSL2+. They won't change it until DLM has run its course which I keep telling them it doesn;t change anything when you run it. My stats stay the same cosistantly for the whole week. I'm still on 3072 downstreem and awaitng another 10 days of DLM, so annoyed.

Anyway, new twist on the cutting out side. I was cleaning around and doing some hoovering. I needed to plug the hoover in next to the router. When I plugged it in I could film a warm heat, I put my hand on the router plug and it was red hot. So I quickly took it out. Today I borrowed a friends router plug and the router has not cut out for the whole day.. I even managed to download a film on sky anytime+ which I've never been able to do since it started. So my plug was overheating causing the router to cut out. All this time, something like that.. Have you ever heard of that before?

Now I just need Sky to give me a better speed and I'll be a very happy man.

DLM is obviously not running on your line or you would not still be on G.DMT(ADSL1). Give them another call and remind them that you were supposed to be put on DLM over 2 weeks ago and as you are still on ADSL1 it has not happened. Tell them you are fed up being messed about and if the person you speak to cannot fix it, ask to be passed to someone who can. Either a supervisor or the Customer Solutions Team.

Faulty PSUs were quite common on the early Sagems, usually resulting in the apparent failure of the router. Replacing the PSU usually cured the problem. I have not seen it mentioned as happening to other routers, but I suppose it could.

That looks a lot better. The upstream could be increased a little though.

For guidance, the starting stats are around 4096/606. Your current upstream is less than this.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
