      No Name on fs.mail

Sorry if this is the wrong place but starting today all my incoming emails have an attachment called "No name for this attchment" and they are all 210kb in size.

I use orange (name@fs.mail.net) and have tried 3 different browsers (IE, Chrome and Firefox) but the result is the same. My better half has a different fs.mail account and the same is happing to hers. Have not had chance to try a different computer yet.

If I click on the attachment I get a message in French in a new window to say the email has been scanned.

If I recieve an email with a genuine attachment I get 2 no names and clicking on the first no name shows the title of the correct attachment.

Anyone else on fsmail that has this issue and any ideas how to put things back to normal.

If you are using a mail client to check you email, then it sounds like you have picked up some kind of nasty.

Try taking a look at your on-line account and see if the attachment is there to confirm this.

In the mean time, do not click on any other unknown attachments.

Search for 'Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware'. Download the program, install it and perform a full system scan.

Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware, anti-virus and spyware removal download

Also perform a full AV Scan.

Email is direct from the orange home page. Just enter password and user. The emails are held on the Orange server.

Scanned with Kapersky both a full scan and also each individual email - no problems detected.

Downloaded the Malwarebytes free version and was offered the $24.95 version for free (not upgraded yet) but that also did not detect anything (thats why a long time replying waiting for 2 full scans)

      Re: No Name on fs.mail

I am glad that the scans went through well. I did expect a time delay for the scanning, but just how long depends on how much data is stored on your hard drive/s.

Malwarebytes is a good little program. I've used it a few times to remove nasties of different computers.

Contact Orange. They are either Spam or Orange may be adding something to your emails.
