      Sky censoring?

Well since joining sky, I haven't had the best of experiences, I wouldn't have chosen them if it was up to me, but that's a conversation for another day. The problem I'm having at the moment, is that Sky seem to be censoring my internet, Any URL that contains the words "t orrent" or "p roxy" gives me a message saying: "Web Site Blocked By BSkyB Firewall" (seems like I cant even post if my post has those words in either) This started some time last night, and is rather infuriating, as I do a lot of my downloading via t orrent. I can still download by t orrent, but I cant access a lot of them as the URLs are usually structured as such that they get blocked. I will try to contact sky as soon as possible, but I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem and if they have any help.

Sorry, but it is not Sky who is blocking you.

Check the settings on your router. It sounds like someone has added torrents & proxy as keywords in the 'block site' list on the router.

Yes, it looks like you are not the owner of the account and whoever is has taken steps to block you from accessing torrents.. It may be in the router settings as Scubbie suggests, but as it is mentioning BSkyB I think it is probably through Sky's Parent Control.

As above, Sky block nothing apart from what is on certain filters that by law they have to.
