      Cancellation period?

My speeds have been getting worse and worse over the last three days and I'm pretty much set upon cancelling and going back to forking out 25/mo on Zen ADSL MAX.

However, I've noticed a couple of people talking about a 'training period'. If I wait more than 8 days after the service went live, the speeds might pick up to an acceptable level, but if they don't then I'm stuck with truly useless Internet access for a year. Is this right?!

When I spoke to Sky last night they said my account wasn't activated yet, but I'm posting on this forum via the Sky connection. Can anyone tell me when my 8 days in which to cancel starts?!

As you move from Zen to the Connect package in theory once the training is over you should get around about the same speeds as you did with Zen and going back to them will give you the same problems all over again.

Do you turn your router off at all?

Well if they are saying you are not connected yet god only knows when it will start have you had a look at the BT checker to see what they says about your migration

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

I've signed up to Max rather than Connect. Router has been on and off a couple of times since connected but the speeds are now down to equivelant of a 1/2mb connection. After getting used to 3.5mb with Zen it's just too slow, even for a tenner a month.

      Cheers

Ah in that case there is no training on the Max package, have you had a look in the Router forum there are some very good stickies that could help you and also go and give this a try as well Optimising your Broadband Connection
