My experience of having to cease my former connection is as follows:

Sept 4th - Asked Orange to cease - advised it would take up to ten working days.

Sept 11 - Marker removed after just five working days.

Sept 11 - Immediately placed order with Sky. Again advised it would take up to ten working days to be activated.

      Sept 14 - Router arrived

Sept 20 - Line activated seven working days after order.

So, after expecting to be offline for a month, it was only two and a half weeks in the end.

With regard to the other question about placing your order while still with another supplier - I was told that they physically cannot process an order on their system while there is a marker on your line if you are already LLUed.

      Hope this helps.

      Andrew.

      Thanks Andrew for your reply.

I find it quite encouraging that you were able to progress from a cease to re-provide within just 16 days! I have noted what you say about waiting until the tag is removed from the line and will do as you suggest.

My cease date with Nildram LLU is 15 October and I will post my progress here.

      Bob
