      Hmm. Dosen't sound overly promising. I'll have to give them a call. Are they generally OK with being told what information I already have, or will someone with little or no clue need to go through a flowchart with me? I love speaking to people with no real interest in what they are talking about.

      Unfortunately you will have to get the hoops out as you will be expected to jump through them Make sure you are in the Test socket as this is one thing they usually ask you to do. If you are not in it, it means a call back after you have changed over.

      Hmm, interesting.

      Haven't called Sky, but now I'm getting:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 6139 kbps 796 kbps
      Line Attenuation 44.5 dB 27.1 dB
      Noise Margin 6.5 dB 14.8 dB

      So thats a bit better, and the only thing wots changed is the ringer wire.
