      Re: Browser Problem

I have upgraded IE6 to IE8 but I get the same problem, I would try to upgrade FF but I cann't get access to the net on my home laptop. I'm starting to believe there maybe a problem with my ethernet adaptor. But it just doesn't make sense that I can run uTorrent without any problems!

I am tempted to try and use my offline system to see if I get the same problem, but I don't want to risk getting a virus on it, as I use that for all my serious work.

      Re: Browser Problem

It is a good idea to use a different PC as it would prove whether the problem is with your machine or outside your control. There is little chance of picking anything up if you have an AV program installed, especially when behind a router. Microsoft Security Essentials is a good free program - Microsoft Security Essentials Product Information.

You could try resetting the network components, there is an outside chance that this is the problem, but as you have a clean install it is unlikely. To do this in Win 7, open an elevated Command Prompt, press Win key, type cmd, hold Ctrl+Shift press Enter.

Type, or c & p, the following netsh winsock reset catalog and press Enter.(This will reset the winsock)

Then netsh int ip reset reset.log and press Enter.(This will reset the TCP/IP stack)

      Reboot your PC

If you are running XP download and run this application - |MG| WinSock XP Fix 1.2 Download

      Re: Browser Problem

I've managed to fix the problem, I think something happened to my 1GB of DDR-RAM. When I removed it everything started to work again. I wonder what happened to that 1GB stick of RAM?

Anyway, thanks for the assistance anyway, Isitme. I really did appreciate it
