      Could I Get More?

Hey guys, I just wanted some advice on if in your opinion I should be getting more download/upload. I've been doing speed tests the past few days and it is looking around this, at max I get about 8.5 down and 0.6 up:

Dont know if its worth mentioning, but when I use speedtest my little person indicating me on the map is in the south of england when I live in the North West (Lancashire), any thoughts on that? So the above test is newbury that was the recommended one.

My router stats are as followed:
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 10235 kbps 797 kbps
Line Attenuation 35 db 19 db
Noise Margin 12 db 15 db

      My exchange info:

      Exchange name: Fleetwood
      Exchange code: LCFLW
      Approx. 1.35km from Exchange

SamKnows - Accurate broadband performance information for consumers, governments and ISPs

What do you think, thanks for advice in advance!

Don't worry about your location according to the speed test results. It could be a glitch or the servers may have not been up to date.

According to your stats you should be able to get more speed. Give sky a ring and ask them to set you to a higher speed profile.

I think this is a case of speedtest.net not recognising Sky's address system. Before moving to SVBN my location was always spot on. Now it thinks I am in Manchester.

I have no faith whatsoever in speedtest.net, I prefer to use our own tester. http://www.skyuser.co.uk/speedtester/

Tell them to set it to 18048/1216 with max delays at 8.

I've found the support by email to be excellent and generally very rapid. And if you're not on SkyTalk it's free
