      Thanks. those figures clearly show that it is the Internet that is loosing it's connection, not your WiFi. The WAN time shows this very well.

      What does also show up is that the Ethernet port was reset at the same time. Perhaps someone else can make a comment on this phenomenon.

      On the sky official forum I have been told to ask for an SFI, turns out yesterdays bloke WAS an SFI. So I just rang sky again and he tested the line, no faults, he said the problem is now that the exchange has a fault ticket on it and should be fixed over night or during tomorrow.

      But looking at that it has been fixed?! My internet has gone off 45 times tonight in 3 and a half hours, woohoo a new record!

      Good find. Normally we get a message on the forum when that are problems with a particular area.

      So your outages may be unrelated to your line problem.

      I hope that it will all be sorted soon for you though.

      Sky said to ring them back if it is still doing it tomorrow and to keep turning to router on and off until then. If I ring them back and I still have the issue and the exchange is fixed then sky will book another SFI to come to my house. Since 5:30 I have now had over 50 drops in connection, something is definitely wrong somewhere.

      Got myself router stats lite and been monitoring for the past 25 mins, as you can see in that time, 8 drops.

      I am wondering if a faulty router is contributing to your problems. It is a bit strange that your WLAN is dropping at the same time as your WAN. The LAN continues operating as it should. Normally the WLAN would continue to operate, even if the router is not synced.
      Could you try an experiment please? When the router is working normally, unplug the ADSL, either from the phone socket or from the router. This will simulate a drop in connection. What does your WLAN show? Does it drop out at the same time or remain running. It should remain running.

      Thanks for the suggestion, I will try that tonight as soon as I am home. Would it matter if any devices were connected to the wlan whilst I did this or should I just use my wired pc with nothing connected to the wlan?
