With that info, it looks more like a faulty router. I would still look at changing the electrical socket though.

You were on 180+ hours uptime,it's now only 3+ .
Did you reboot or repower 3 odd hours ago?

yeah, i changed socket like scrubbie suggested.

Engineer phoned and says he's been to the exchange and the fault was there, "but if the problem does still carry on get a new router".

So guess ill just have to wait a couple of days see how it is.

      Re: internet disconnecting/reconnecting

Is there anyway i can keep track of when the internet goes down? so i can show this to sky (instead of just my word).
Seems like everytime i phone up im getting treated as if im making this all up.

All they seem to be doing is looking at when the internet was up and how long instead of when its going down and for how long.

      Re: internet disconnecting/reconnecting

There are a couple of programs that come to mind:

      RouterStats -Lite

      Sky router tool

Neither will work with the Sagem F@ST 2304n or Sagem Path F@ST 2504N though.

      Re: internet disconnecting/reconnecting

Router stats lite is good to monitor the noise margin of the sagemcom router, if you set it to save the graphs you could always fire them over to sky via email and the will be able to see the constant drop outs when the SNR drops
