      Speed issues

      Hi There,

      I have been a SKY customer for many years and moved my broadband to them a fair few years ago. I had some speed issues at the outset, but following a call or two it suddenly jumped up to a steady 10-12M download. All has been fine for the last few years, however, my router gave up the ghost a week or so ago. My new one arrived Sat, and we now have a connection! But this now appears to be a new set up rather than just a replacement - i.e. give it 10 days to settle down etc. Well ok I know it is only 4 days in, but I've not seen much in terms of variable speed - in fact I've not seen much in terms of speed at all! The most we have had is 0.11Mbps download and the same for upload. Nothing else has changed other than the router. I've been on the Official SKY forums and there appear to be an awful lot of people complaining about their speed or indeed lack of it. Something has been changed - apart from ringing any ideas?

      Well, you're somehow on test settings. Did you have an issue with no sync at all? If so, looks like they didn't reset your speed when replacing your router. Phone Sky to sort it out

      Hi there - I was also posting on the SKY Help Forum, and was contacted by one of the SKY Guys, who checked things out for me and uncapped my line! Lo & behold, we have lift off! They are going to continue monitoring over the next 24hrs - but should settle down. I have run some quick tests (no pun intended) and download is ranging between 2.3M and 11M - much more like it. Thanks for your comments & time.
