Your exchange is due to get Fibre in the middle of next year. This would be a good choice otherwise.

Would you not be able to twist someone's arm and get your upload increased manually to 1.3Mb?

I'm sure I could, perhaps even get the SNR down to 6dB if anyone there still has PuTTY access, but it's nice to just have o2 work out the box. We'll see, o2's only 2 a month more - I can live with the 24 a year less in my pocket for now

Well that was nice and painless.

Less than 5 minutes downtime whilst it swapped over.

      Connection Speed 4096 kbps
      UpStream Connection Speed 512 kbps

      Roll on DLM

So far it appears to be trouble free and people appear to be happy with it.

After the hassle with the Sagem 2304n this is a good sign.

If you happen to have a computer with a 1Gbit port, it would be useful if you could confirm what speed it connects to the router at.

The WiFi is rated to 144mb/s over 20MHz bandwidth on the 2.4GHz channels.

It will also be Sky's router of choice for connecting to their Fibre products when they finally launch them.
      Is this what you mean?

Re: Coming back to Sky Broadband

Many thanks. If I recall correctly you were going to check this with a 1Gbit port.

This would confirm that it is a 10/100Mb router and doesn't support the faster connection.

Re: Coming back to Sky Broadband

      Phooey!

It would have been nice to know that it was a 1Gbit router, but then it appears to be Sky's solution for ADSL & FTTC, so a 1Gbit router wouldn't be suited for most people.

Anyway, I trust you are now a happy bunny, having moved painlessly from 02 to Sky. Just need to update your profile before the mods revolt.
