      Orange Light Class action?

We were declared 'active' on our Sky broadband account yesterday and immediately received the 'amber light of death' on our router. We did all the research, the troubleshooting, etc. No internet service.

This is a problem of long standing with Sky, as witnessed by all the threads here. Sky sells a service that they don't provide, basically, and don't provide reasonable service to solve the issue. Has anybody considered taking a larger consumer-based position on this? It wouldn't appear that relying on Sky to solve the problem works. Maybe a Consumer Protection Act claim would get their attention?

I haven't counted them, but there are few that don't get some sort of connection on their activation day. You are one of the very few out of several million whose connection has gone wrong for some reason. The actual activation date can be a couple of days either side of the date given. Sky depend on BTO to make the physical connection in the exchange and this is out of their control.

Have you phoned Sky? What did they say?
