It will be better if you post your stats from the test socket. How to test your ADSL in the Master Test Socket

A phone call to Sky will be required asking them to uncap you.

Just to be sure this is a picture showing the test socket.

If your stats are from the test socket then ring Sky and ask them to uncap you. See the noise margin figure in your post? It's at 14db and 11db right now. When both of them come down to 7db then you are uncapped.

      Re: Dramatic decrease in Speed

I would call again. There is still plenty of room for improvement and your upstream connection has been made seriously worse.

Sadly not everyone who has access to changing the line connection is any good at it.

You are looking to get the noise margins to around 7dB on both upstream & downstream.

Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB

What type of download speeds should I expect? Can you tell from those stats?

They've put you on G.DMT which IMO was a good call considering your stats. You should get between 5-6MB on an uncapped line.

You should get 9-10 Mb, but your line is not up to it. It either has a fault or is just in generally poor condition.
