When my friend was finally able to sort out her BB, there was no such tag.

It's been mentioned previously that the plug does not alway get pulled promptly when someone cancels their BB. It's not exactly something that you shout about when you are still connected.

Judging by the sound of it i imagine when BT ceased your telephone line this would of generated what we call a "Unsolicited PSTN cease" which will then cancel the broadband as it lives on that poor PSTN line.

Like previously said you've been left connected to the Sky equiptment, and again when a new customer comes along they will see your "port" as free.

Again, like previously mentioned you should not be requested for any payment for the service you have recieved since the cancellation.

TBH if you call sky and say you want broadband, they will know you had it before but cant see if its working now.
