      NAS Drive Stopping at Router

      Hi All,

Just got a shiny new LGN1T1 NAS drive to use.

All seems okay until I try to access it remotely. If i stick in the remote IP for the drive, It takes me to the sky router page. This happens from any machine.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Have you tried changing the IP address of the drive or the router?

To anything in particular or just a number other that it's current?

Should have said - all ports are forwarded too.

Re: NAS Drive Stopping at Router

Nah - sadly that made no difference. it just keeps taking me to the sky router homepage (Summary status).

      Am I missing something obvious?

Have you activated all the services in the NAS itself?

Ah, I've just thought, are you trying to access using a wan ip address from your local network? Because I think you can't do that with sky, or so I'm led to believe. I can do it here, but I'm not using a sky router.

You could Pm me your ip, and I'll try it for you.

Step forward! If I try to access it from outside my home network - the page just doesn't load - no longer the sky router.

      Hmmm!

Have you set yourself up with a DynamicDNS? This is essential as your IP address can change at any time. This may be why you can't connect.

Yes - I've set it up with LG NAS and also with Dyndns.org (as a backup) neither seem to work.
