      Re: Need help... Broadband down!

Your router is connecting to the Internet. It also has then latest firmware installed, which is a good thing.

You may wish to edit out the MAC & IP addresses, as well as your WiFi SSID. Posting these in a public site is a security risk.

What I would concentrate on now is what software you have installed on your computer. A quick way to bypass this would be to reboot your computer in Safe Mode as access this forum briefly.

This should allow you to access the Internet.

Should this fail, could you try another device?

Are you using the same firewall software on each of them?

Safe mode should enable you to bypass this.

I would also be inclined to double check that you haven't set up your network connections with an incorrect DNS Server, for example.

Whilst many people like to use their own servers, could I suggest that you use the default settings for the present, if this isn't already the case.

Try pressing f8 rapidly as your computer is starting. That should give you boot options and safe mode is listed.

Edit: Just saw you have mac's. The above is what I do in windows. I'm a bit of a dunce with mac's I'm afraid, not as familiar. :-(

Phooey! I'm not familiar with Macs. I only know the process for a M$ Windows based computer. With these you need to tap the F8 key as the computer boots up. You will then be presented with a menu which offers Safe mode with Networking.

No problem there. The router is connected to the Internet. Something is preventing you from accessing the Internet through the router. I am beginning to suspect some little nasty (this was also the case before I knew what you had).

That would mean you need to delete the WiFi connection on your PC to your router and set it up again - almost sounds like someone has changed your WiFi key...
