      Connection drops after 3 hours

I'm hoping someone can help me before I throw the router in the bin.
I have recently moved to an area where there is no cable and I can only get Sky Broadband Connect.
I have had problems ever since I connected (5 days ago). The router is a D-Link.
The connection works fine for about 3 hours then drops out.
(The internet light changes from green to solid orange).
I have 4 phone extensions, I use the main one for the router, 1 for the TV and 1 for a cordless telephone, leaving 1 spare. I have microfilters on all of them.
I can reset the router and it will work for a further short time, but even then it sometimes takes more than just resetting and involves switching completely off and leaving for a few minutes.

Has anyone else had this problem and know how I can resolve it.
      Many thanks

Need to see your router stats

How to get your router statistics

Try leaving the router in the test socket if you can and see if it disconnects anymore.

That sounds like an overheating problem, either the router itself or the PSU. Is the router stood on its end with plenty of ventilation around it? Does the PSU feel very hot to the touch?

What are your stats in the Test socket? It looks like you are getting very severe noise spikes which are causing your connection to drop. Hopefully these are being caused by interference in your internal wiring.
