    No Broadband Connection

      I have to say, I know exactly how you feel. My Sky BB has been down for 6 days now - I discovered the problem Saturday night, did some preliminary troubleshooting to determine if it was a problem with cabling, worked out it wasn't so left it overnight to see if it would resolve itself (I've had this once or twice before in my 7 or 8 years with Sky BB).

      No change come Sunday, so contacted the service desk and after more troubleshooting the request was pushed for T2 callback within 72 hours. It's now 120 hours later with no callback, and calling the SD twice in that time has yielded no results. I'm promised that after 168 hours (1 week) I'll be given the T2 number directly...

      It's incredibly frustrating as I rely very heavily on my BB connection, so it's costing me quite a bit to use my emergency 3G stick (and my 3G connectivity is very slow, you'd have thought greater London would be well covered!). Right now I'm seriously looking at moving to another supplier, as I can't afford to be without my BB for 5 days and counting (with no actual end in sight!) again - any recommndations for someone that can provide a better support service when things go wrong?

      I would not count on this, I have never heard of a direct line to the Customer Solutions Team being given out to anyone.

      If you depend on broadband for your livelihood, you should consider a business package, with guaranteed service. Sky are a basic domestic service which should not be relied on for important business use. Some suitable packages can be found here -

      There is a direct number at the moment due to this whole backlog going on.

      Just goes to show it varies from person to person - I spoke with someone else tonight ("Thomas") and he was extremely apologetic and very helpful and my case has now been escalated via his manager! I'm hoping for a callback sooner rather than later - fingers crossed!
