Sorry, by device I meant PCs, Laptops etc. If you have only tried one device it could be that that is causing the slow download. If you are getting the same result with more than one machine, then it is probably not your devices.

No it isn't devices - my PC is freshly formatted and is virus/trojan protected etc.

I've tried my work laptop (wired and wireless) and get the same results.

      It's definitely BT

Fitted an XTE 2005 faceplate yesterday, stats are about the same.

I am now prepared for when Sky BB goes live

You won' regret fitting the faceplate. The electronics in them tend to last longer than the electronics in the normal microfilters.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

Yep I fitted one at my dad's house when I lived at home and removed an extension he had installed.

Speed went from 10Mb to 16Mb after I'd called and spoken to 2nd line

Re: New Sky User (well, ordered tonight!)

I have to say, the service with Sky already has been outstanding: -

I did have a problem earlier this week with my original order - this was dropped and a new one placed.

I rang up just now to see where the order is and I was told that Sky BB and Sky Talk will be activated on Tuesday, 21st June. I asked when I should expect to take delivery of the Sky Router and the very helpful lady on the phone said, usually 3-5 working days nearer the time....But then went onto say that on her screen it said it has been scanned and sent out yesterday! So I should receive the Router tomorrow/Monday!

      Epic!

Well you're lucky. I was activated on the 7th & still waiting for a router. Not impressed by that.

Well the Sky Router is nice... but who knows how long it'll live on my line once DLM is done with.

I have a Cisco 877 ADSL2+ Router sitting around spare....
