My apologies , yes your right, I think she said they could be 8, 16, or 32 and that mine were set to 32 previously.

Something like that anyway, so thanks for the correction

      Re: Speed problems

A little good news at last, on Monday the BTO engineer turned up and has connected to a different line. Apparently the old line was causing lots of errors and the new one is fine so fingers crossed we should see the speed start to increase to an estimated 6Mbps according to the engineer.

Here are my current line stats which have improved a wee bit.

      ROUTER STATISTICS

      System Up Time: 51:21:56
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 190246 242735 0 37609078 192917792 47:41:15
      LAN Up 120859 4512 0 19459351 290775 51:21:56
      WLAN Up 403968 332305 0 230378568 63909673 51:21:27
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4096 kbps 512 kbps
Line Attenuation 45.5 dB 27.5 dB
Noise Margin 16.9 dB 13.0 dB

Sky CST have also rang back this morning to see how it's been since Monday and will ring back in a few more days to check again.

So a thumbs up to Sky on this one and hopefully this should be the end of my issues

I'd also like to say a big thank you to you all for your continued support and advice

It looks like they may have re-started DLM, so keep your router powered up and connected

      One can only hope

Yes I keep the router switched on at all times and since Monday there's been no random reboot's which is always a bonus

I did put my stats in one of those speed matrix thingies that works out your theoretical maximum, it came back with something like 7900+ Kbps lol.

I'm not expecting anything like that but over 5 meg would be nice

      Re: Speed problems

I believe you are on the Easynet DSLAM. Your line is currently set to G.DMT but should switch to ADSL2+ when DLM kicks in. Your attenuation will probably jump back to where it was before so don't panic.

That would be correct if you were on ADSL2+, but you are not. Your attenuation will go back to 48-49, which should give you 6+Mb
