Bear in mind if you are on CONNECT the line is training to get the attainable rate.

When I was MAXed which is effectively what CONNECT is, this happened all the time.

Give it 10 days from connection and then try all over again

Thanks Marky. Looks like we're in the same position. It makes me feel a little better. Safety in numbers

      It's very strange.

You could ring them and ask if they would extend it 7 days to cancel as you are having problems, unfortunately MAX or Sky's version CONNECT takes 10 days mininum to give you the best stable line.

The internet is full of problems with the 10 day training etc

hi - i have been on connect since monday, i get around 6000kbps so the connection is good between my house and the exchange.
however like the rest of you between the hours 6:30pm and midnight the speed is really slugish around 500kbps - i know this is the peak hour and that there is some sort of communication between my router and the exchange for the next 10 days. i wait and see after 10 days... but im not happy, and i dont think there is much we can do at the moment??? except maybe call sky and ask them to upgrade it to sky+ BB to get peak hours running quicker.......oh dear wot have i signed up to!!!

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 7584 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 10.0 db 17.0 db
Noise Margin 14.8 db 25.0 db
