Mixed reports. Worked fine for me, but not for some other people.

Re: Own router and anytime +?

In Google Custom Search box above, type: "sky anytime+ router", and I got some of the following:

      Anytime+ / Config & non SKY Router

Anytime+ - NON Sky BB Router

Sky Anytime+ : What ports to open in firewall?

Thanks seems like I should assume it’s a choice between anytime + and my own router unless I hit lucky thanks for the clarification.

Re: Own router and anytime +?

Anytime + works fine aslong as you dont set crazy firewall restrictions

I have my firewall as follows and it works fine

      Block All Inbound
      Allow All Outbound

      a simple rule
if you dont trust stuff on your lan
you shouldnt be running a network in the first place

Some routers come with crazy rule sets
      mine did for example
i just removed the lot and set them to below

Here's My firewall rules emwebigd ones are upnp forwards

Billion 7402X (no wireless) only suited for Easynet DSLAM's
Billion 7402NX is N300 + Gigabit but again only suited for Easynet DSLAM's
