      Hi,
      i am new to sky and have finished the 10 day dlm thingy without turning off the router, generally whilst dlm was running download speeds were fine, but now after i have turned off the router im having problems.

      During day hours (10am-1400hrs approx) my download speed is at approx 6900kb but in evenings its down to dial up speeds 80kb if im lucky hehe.

      Any help would be appreciated. details are below.


      Connection Speed

      down 8128 kbps

      up 448 kbps

      Line Attenuation

      down 23.0db

      up 12.5db

      Noise Margin

      down 9.3db

      up 26.0db

      router is connected to the master socket
      DLM started on 5th May and finnished on 15th

      lol, Ironically Talktalk is the only LLU provider at your exchange.

      Damn, yep thnx, i just read the connect threads, seems ive been conned by sky , hopefully the chap at sky didnt lie about sky being installed in my local exchange in about 3 months lol

      Sky are currently rolling out their equipment to a lot of telephone exchanges. Unfortunately they don't like to make public the prospective dates when any individual exchange will be upgraded, so SamKnows doesn't post the information on their site.

      Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
      Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
