      broadstairs no internet since early evening yesterday

      Anyone know if there is a faukt with the broadstairs; kent excchange?

      I lost internet very early yesterday evening.

      For future use, is there a site where I can check if my exchange has an outage?
      Would save me fiddling with anything unless I have to.

      Yes,this very one Currently issues in the Ramsgate and Broadstairs area which has a link to Sky's own Status page.

      It's was useful to know what was going on last night but here we are 16 hours after the problem was due to be resolved and no update in sight - anyone at Sky listening?

      This is an unofficial forum.

      Whilst some Sky personnel are members, their input is not officially sanctioned by Sky.

      There are two official Sky User IDs to the best of my knowledge:

      1. Sky eService
      2. SkyStatusRSSBot


      From the description that has been made (i.e. digging outside the telephone exchange) it sounds more likely that the issue is quite serious and not confined to BSkyB services.

      I would fully expect BT Openreach Engineers to be working very hard to repair any damage or faults.

      Sky have just updated the status of this problem. Looks like it's going to be a while before it's resolved though. They have no idea, nor does OpenReach. There were rumours that it's affecting other ISP's, but it appears to be just Sky.

      Reading the thread on the Sky Help Forum, it would appear that some people are being reconnected now.
