Connection Speed 16105 kbps 944 kbps
Line Attenuation 30 db 17 db
Noise Margin 7 db 11 db

What do you get if you try to download a big file from Microsoft?

Re: increase in B/B speed but slower d/l

      Hmm bit odd.

The only thing that has changed is your line is now sending a higher speed than previously configured. Nothing hardware wise has changed. All the exchange and line is identical as before.

So, i dont suppose you know what your stats were before the speed increase?
Or know if there is much difference.

Download this 100mb test file. See what speed you get.
      Delete it afterwards.

Re: increase in B/B speed but slower d/l

file d/l at approx 1.46meg wireless
then d/l file with my desktop and it was d/l 480kps.

should have added that i d/l via homeplugs but i was d/l at 1200 kps with them as well.

d/l file again via the homeplugs and was d/l @ 450kps and via wire directly into router , d/l at 1.5meg, homeplugs causing the slower d/l even though i was using this method before.

At least you know now there's nothing wrong with your ADSL connection or your throughput.
