      A little help

      Hey, I am spending time at my dads, He's on Sky Broadband Unlimited

      Here's his stats


      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 1710 kbps 796 kbps
      Line Attenuation 56.0db 33.8db
      Noise Margin 6.7db 9.9db

      Just Wondering if this is the max he can have?
      My Current Stats
      ADSL Link-Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed-22014 kbps 1150 kbps
      Line Attenuation-3.5 dB 3.6 dB
      Noise Margin-7.3 dB 9.4 dB

      He should get more, plug into the Test socket and post the stats from there and check that none of the other sockets have a dial tone.
      How to test your ADSL in the Master Test Socket

      If there is no Test socket, remove everything from all the phone sockets and plug the filter and the router only into the master socket. Do not use a trailing extension.

      If this was my place i would mess around with stuff, But i'd rather not touch to be honest
      I don't mind doing it when i am back home and when my phone and internet connection come
      My Current Stats

      In that case he will get no more as things stand. With a good line he could see 4-6Mb.
