      Speeds Plummeted

      Anyway, on topic:

OP, you could try booting into safe mode with networking and run another speed test via ethernet cable to check whether your throughput is any better. I'd also suggest giving Sky a call and ask them to check whether the upstream is capped, and if so, then uncap and ask if they can try the line code on g.dmt.
Just tried safemode with networking but with no improvement. I will give sky a call tomorrow if I get time around work stuff.

Rang sky this morning. had a nice chat to a helpfull young lady who didnt go thru any of the script at all.

She was talking to her supervisor I think she said and they reconfigured the line as below....

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 5279 kbps 477 kbps
Line Attenuation 51.5 dB 29.3 dB
Noise Margin 7.6 dB 20.5 dB

Speed test results are now showing

We have detected that your ISP is Sky. Your download speed is 4544Kbps. Your upload speed is 399Kbps.

Definitely an improvement, should I be expecting more than 4544kbs speedtest off 5279kbs sync?
