I work with Lama daily and you can put lines on Fastpath, it is never used.

We used to have to ask a CEL if we could use fastpath but was always told no as it doesnt really help anything.

As for connect like fella said, most Connect lines are auto going on fastpath now, unsure as to why but its something BT has decided which causes sky millions of pounds worth of wasted everything. (No exageration)

Dont bother asking for somone to put fastpath on your line, the only people that might do this are the retarded scotland agents that are for some reason given the capability to do so, luckily i dont think they have the intelligence to find this button, let alone know what its for.

If your broadband is rubbish, ring sky, go thru tier 1's garble, get thru to CST, if they sound scottish and hangup and repeat the first part until you get somone normal sounding.

You will now have the problem fixed.

i dont think you are on fastpath with 25ms

      My delays are 8

before dlm kicked back in last month
my delays where 5.7ms downstream and 6.7 upstream
and i used to ping around 25ms to bbc.co.uk

      root@Nas:~# ping BBC - Homepage
PING BBC - Homepage (212.58.244.69): 56 data bytes
      64 bytes from 212.58.244.69: seq=30 ttl=56 time=27.805 ms
      64 bytes from 212.58.244.69: seq=33 ttl=56 time=27.940 ms
      64 bytes from 212.58.244.69: seq=74 ttl=56 time=27.974 ms

Shonk, really depends what his max delays are.

How are you sure you are on fastpath and not just on a decent adsl line with 8ms delays?

I personally find that insulting and a slur on the Scottish people in general. In posting such rubbish I think you are the one who is retarded. Judging by some of your posts, if you are an example of CST, no wonder, it is no wonder Sky Help is held in such low esteem.

Indeed, being Scottish myself I found his post quite insulting. Fair enough if the departments in Scotland aren't trained to the same level (which I don't believe to be the case), but there's really no need to make such a slur. Out of the 5 or 6 phonecalls I've had with sky, the most helpful have been a Scottish agent and an Indian agent, I've also had no joy out of a Scottish and Irish agent before, so I don't think it's down to location, it's all about the individual that picks up the phone.

I don't think there's a way for me to check what delays i'm on with my router (one of the new-ish Sagem F@ST2304's), but I've been assured that our line is on 8ms delay and with that on my PC at home I get a variable 35-40ms to bbc (Win XP laptop on wireless pings 40ms steady, my win7 desktop which is wired directly to router pings 35-37ms).

Indeed I've got to say the scottish guys I've spoken to have always been very helpful and knowledgable, as opposed to the indian ones who seem to be trained to read from a script.

I'm not Scottish, but what a stupid generalisation.

Why do you have CST in your name, as I'd prefer not to be associated with yourself, moron.
