In regards to what is bad about your stats i think Tom was referring to the fact that he would have expected your noise margin to have been higher.
      But its higher than 7db
Here is what its at now
The reason why it was low then was because I just connected the router.

So is it possible to bet better speeds with these results?

It wont go lower than 9.4 and usually jumps up to 11db
And this is without the extension, so its defiantly the wiring in my home.

With those results yes. It might just have been the time that it was connected.

There is room for improvement with either of those SNR margins.

For obvious reasons if its usually at 11db then it means that there is more room for improvement.

You should give sky a call and ask them to reconfigure the line.

I will go conservative and say that you should now get over 10Mb

that's awesome, 10Mb would be great, as I regularly download games from steam, and with my current connection its fairly slow.

So get my wireing sorted, and give sky a call

There is something wrong somewhere. Your first stats show an attenuation of 29.5db, your second 32db and your third 25 db. As an indication of what this means the speed you would expect with these attenuations is
      29.5db.........14-16Mbps
      32db............12-14Mbps
      25db............16-18Mbps

Are BTO working in your area somewhere nearby?

I do regularly see BT working in one of those green cabinets, so possibly that could be it, but damn I could be getting around 12-18Mbps :O damn I cannot wait to get my line sorted.

There was another thread on the forum that BT were upgrading the cabinet for FTTC. It was affecting the persons sync speed.

Might not be a bad idea to check SamKnows to see if you might be able to get FTTC.

Nope, there are currently no dates to when FTTC is coming to my exchange, however I remember talking to a person who worked at BT once, and they said that the exchange had capacity issues time to time.

      Doesn't sound good.

Let us know how you get on when calling sky for the speed increase.

Re: Sky broadband disconnecting and low Noise Margin

If BTO are working in the green street cabinets near where you live, this will typically be for one of the following reasons:

      * upgrading the equipment or line
      * connecting a new telephone subscriber
      * fixing someone's line

My suspicious money would be on the last one.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
