      Major speed problems.

      Hello, I recently moved into a new house in december and was without my sky service for 3 months. in febuary my son got his own phoneline put into his room so he can go with talktalk on his own contract, The engineer came out on the 15th of febuary and what he did was split the phoneline and run it to my son's bedroom to a master socket installed in his room. Not long later my sky service became activet and i was using the master socket located downstairs. Ever since day 1 it has not been working correctly I have been experiencing frequent disconnections and speed tests are showing max 33kbps downstream and 67kbps upstream. I know from experience something is not right. BUT! my son's broadband is running perfect and has never been disconnected once, Althought its the same phoneline! I have tryed muliply filters and setups, Also installed a brand new master filter. Sky call centre support have been useless. Im totally baffled. Can anyone please explaine whats going on.       I think that this could well be the problem.

      I suspect that the BTO Engineer should have installed a second physical line.
