Exchange is getting ADSL2+ in a few days

Here are my router stats at the moment:

      Sync: 7168 kbps / 800 kbps

      Attenuation: 41 db / 25 db

      Noise Margin: 7.8 db / 12 db

I have a quite stable connection.

On the 31st March my telephone exchange will become ADSL2+ enabled and I was just wondering if I need to contact Sky to request a move to this service or will they do it automatically. According to an online checker I used, I should receive 6 - 10 Mbps on my line with a attenuation db of 41.

Do you think I could benefit from ADSL2+ or should I stay on the service I have at the moment.

When you say your exchange will be enabled with ADSL2+ do you mean by BT. If so it will make no difference to you. I would say, if you are with Sky, you already have ADSL2+ available, although you appear to be on G.DMT. You might benefit a bit by being on the faster mode, so give Sky a ring and ask them if they can swap you to ADSL2+.
