Hi To Everyone.
Thanks for the welcoming messages I have just received after regestering.
The issue I have at the moment is as follows:
My Sky branded DG834GT appears to have gone faulty, I have no internet light on it, after spending hours on the phone yesterday with Sky techies and going through all sorts of "fix-It's" I remained without an internet connection to that Sky router.
It just so happens however that I have Netgear branded DG834GT and when I whacked all the cables from the Sky router on to the Netgear router all the lights that you would expect to come on came on including the internet light, assumedly this means that I have an internet signal coming down the wire.
I informed the Sky techies about this early today and they have assumed that the Sky branded DG834GT has packed up, they are sending me another one which they say can take up to 10 days to arrive, meanwhile of course I have no internet and neither have my teenage girls for the schoolwork etc, but I do have a Netgear DG834GT router.
Can I use it is the question, and if so what do I have to do to get it going, remembering I have no internet connection at home but I can get on the net in my office which is in the same building.
To further add confusion to the issue I spoke to the Netgear techies this morning and they told me it cannot be used on Sky???

New router will take 3-5 days to arrive.
While using your own router is agains the sky T&C it doesn't mean that you can't
see this Sky router password generator
