      Re: Problems since W7 install

Looking back on your stats the only other thing I can see that may be important is that you are shown as being on Fast path with ADSL2 with no interleaving. As Sky do not use these settings it could be your connection is corrupted. It may also be a bug in the stats software which is causing them to be reported incorrectly.

If I were you I would call Sky and tell them you are having problems. You might also want to ask them to try your line on G.DMT, that will take off Fast path and ADSL2 if they are on. Unfortunately you will probably have to get past Tier 1 to get this done, which is not always easy.

      Re: Problems since W7 install

Windows 7 isn't causing any of your problems. I have W7 64 bit Home Premium and my line speed is exactly the same if I switch to my older computer running XP (even if I have them both running at the same time). You might consider changing to a faster browser such as Google Chrome. However it is possible your current computer is a bit under powered for W7 but without knowing more about your system it's impossible to say. Try running Control Panel>Performance Information and see what it says.

Do you think there is any value in trying to talk to someone at Sky again to set my connection for gaming as im not too bothered about DL ..
Also when you suggest Google Chrome does that enable me to transfer all my Favourites over etc as i would like to give it a try as you seem to champion it..

Might want to change the settings as well to allow DNS pre-fetching won't really speed it up much but will make accessing common websites faster.

Not 100% percent sure but it looks like your delays is set at 16 maybe for stability.

It would be possible to change some settings

if there are no erros they could change the max delays to 8ms or ask for a gamer profile same thing

not sure if the uberGT firmware allows you to change it yourself
