      Ok, needs some work.

Rather than jump in blind, could you confirm the following:

Is this a recent connection? Do you know if DLM is still working?

Are you connected to the master socket? It might help to compare the stats when taken from the test socket as well.

Are there any telephone extensions? If so, how are they wired in?

Are you using the grey lead supplied with the Sky Router for its ADSL connection?

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      Thanks for the reply.
I have had the connection for a while but have not tested via the master socket.
I will try that and report back.
      Thanks

      Any extensions?

It might be worth digging out any spare Micro-filters and swapping one for the one you are using too. They can and do fail after a period of time.

      Re: Advice of router stats

Your attenuation suggest you are further than 1.1km from the exchange.

      More like 2.5km - 3km

With your current stats there is some room for improvement but would be much better to leave it until you posted your stats from the test socket.

With your attenuation you should be looking at around 9Mb sync

      Re: Advice of router stats

1.1 miles is about 1.77K, which will be the straight line distance, your actual line length will be a bit over 3K. It looks like DLM, when it did the training, found some problems with your line and set the speed a bit low. You are on ADSL2+ and should see a sync of 9-10Mb. Only by plugging into the Test socket will you find out whether the problem is within or external to your house. Note that you will not see an increase in speed, but hopefully an increase in your noise margin.

      Re: Advice of router stats

      Hi all

At home testing now - these are the stats from the master socket.

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3367 kbps 509 kbps
Line Attenuation 39.0 db 22.3 db
Noise Margin 15.6 db 17.9 db

Is it imperative to have micro filters in all telephone sockets - even if I use wireless telephones? (sorry for my lack of knowledge).

When plugging into the test socket - the speed changes to the below:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 7994 kbps 509 kbps
Line Attenuation 38.0 db 16.3 db
Noise Margin 7.4 db 19.7 db

      Any next steps or advice?

      Thanks in advance.

      Re: Advice of router stats

With such a big jump when moving to the test socket, there's very likely a home setup issue.
Reconnect your master faceplate, remove absolutely everything from all sockets, then reconnect one by one. Make sure all sockets that are in use have a filter connected first.

If the speed is still low with the faceplate on, you may have a faulty faceplate or extensions. Less likely is a faulty filter or RJ11 cable.

It also looks like your upstream speed has been capped at 509.
