      Re: New connection

You still appear to be on G.DMT. I would have thought the agent you spoke to would have moved you to ADSL2+ and pressed the button to start DLM training. You will have to wait until the early hours to see if he has actually started the DLM training, when your router should resync.

Unless your stats improve in the Test socket, it look like 7-8Mb may be your maximum.

      Re: New connection

no, nothings happened yet i phoned earlier got a women who was quite bossy and wouldnt listen.
she said bt checker says 3.5 max so i pointed out im getting 4.5 so its not reliable.
i tried to explain that i should be getting more and told her DLM had not started yet but all she said was to wait and we got into a debate about it.
tried to be nice about it but she wasnt for budging.

i will phone later when im home,

      regards

You should have pointed out to her that this was not the ADSL2+ checker, so it would give a reduced rate. By the sounds of it though, she probably wouldn't know what ADSL2+ was.

That's because it's not Tier 1s business to know what attenuation is

And the speed checker is, and always has been, a BT-based one so whatever BT say your line can 'get' is what Tier 1 will see
