And the speed checker is, and always has been, a BT-based one so whatever BT say your line can 'get' is what Tier 1 will see
That has always been the problem. If BT do not have ADSL2+ enabled, the estimate will always be for BT ADSLMax. As Sky are now giving estimates of 10-20 Mb, someone must have access to a more up to date checker. It looks like Tier 1 do not have access to it.

As far as I know, tier 1 should be using the same 'checker' that CST use (it's called pacman). It shows speeds for Option 2, 4 and MPF.

Wouldn't trust eals anymore than i would want to be on connect and im in Tier 1

Although pacman is much more accurate we are always told to use eals.

Usually use pacman and get someone with LAMA to look at the line usually works out much better for the cust.

Everyone in Tier one has access to pacman. But you normally don't get told how to find it. You might have got unlucky and got someone that didn't know how to access pacman.

Just incase you get someone who doesn't know how to access it in the future tell them to open a new tab and copy the URL for swish and then change the word swish for pacman.

Scubbie must admit it does make the day go faster.

All we have to do is see what high score we can achieve before we die and then thats what we will estimate the line can handle.

Must admit none of us are very good hence the low sync threads

      Hmmm...

Just keep away from this one then:

      Free Space Invaders

You might just want to hack it and replace the Aliens with pics of customers.

The saucers could be replaced with pics of team leaders or line managers.
