      Changing router

Hi, I recently took out a Sky TV, Phone and Broad Band package with Sky. Like everyone we recieved our free router (thankyou sky - but its rubbish!)

I just want to know if you can pick any router you like as I would really like an Apple Airport Extereme Base Station:

AirPort Extreme Base Station - Apple Store (UK)

Does anyone know if this is possible as the sky supplied router came preset with passwords + network name etc?

      Re: Changing router

Yes you can choose any router

While it is very simple to connect the apple AirPort extreme contemplating one myself.

It is NOT a modem but you can piggyback it with the sky router very easily and it will broadcast on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies simultaneously.

might benefit you to look at Scubbies document Connecting Two Routers
