      only problem is since i dont have LAMA depends who i get to look at the line as some people that have it will reduce the line 20Mb
      As I said there were some on old profiles but these were few and far between and were corrected before ending the call (or I'd do it at least). Just some silly DLM profiles that were removed from the system

      I guess the yummy attenuation hindered my ability to read for a while.

      I think maybe you've misunderstood what I meant. A line with 2.5dB attenuation is about as good as they come. To have a noise margin of 15.2dB when sync'd at 4Mb is not good (not sure he'll even achieve full sync when the DLM allows). That means internal wiring is poor.

      Although I have done 3 days with sky nothing has changed with my stats if I were to reboot the router would that disturb sky training on my line or should I just reboot router to get it started ? Ps should I wait till midnight if that is the time sky changes all the line etc for the training?

      Re: New Sky installed just now

      Personally I would just leave it for now.

      DLM hasn't yet kicked in. It often starts on the first night, but it can take up to three days.

      Have a look at your router tomorrow morning. If it didn't re-sync during the night (look at the WAN uptime) then give Sky a call on 08442 414141. Ask someone there to get DLM activated.

      Hopefully your Noise Margin will also start adjusting once this happens.

      For the moment, just enjoy what you have got.

      This is what I mean by causing confusion. It would be better to stick to one thread.
      Just gone past three days started on the 3rd

      I still say reboot and wake it up.

      Have started to see more calls we DLM has never been started.

      If it doesn't start tomorrow you could give sky tech a call and ask them is DLM scheduled to run on the line. If not hopefully they will have someone in the same building as them that can set it to run

      Re: New Sky installed just now

      update; went onto phone this morning and discussed with a nice women about my status which was still at the same as on the 3rd.

      so upon doing a check found out DLM had not started at the exchange "Women said that it should have started in the telephone on the day I got connected" then went onto to speak to another person to get it sorted sure as is the speed went from;

      wan down
      4> to 8
      wan down
      8> to 16
      wan down
      16> to 18

      here are the specifications so far;
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 18012 kbps 1146 kbps
      Line Attenuation 3.0 dB 3.9 dB
      Noise Margin 7.4 dB 9.2 dB

      asked the nice women If DLM training has started on the line reply was yes :-) checked my log and says;

      Mar 7 09:16:04 user crit kernel: Line 0: ADSL link down
      Mar 7 09:16:04 user warn kernel: bcmxtmcfg: XTM Link Information, portid = 0, State = DOWN, Service Support = ATM

      Mar 7 09:16:56 user crit kernel: Line 0: ADSL link up, Bearer 0, us=1146, ds=18012
