      Phone cutting out Broadband

      Hellow every1 Im facing the same problem that when my phone rings sky router gets disconnected.

      here the statistics are.

      I got Segam F@st black router.
      Connected at 54g auto.

      Cordless phone NTL VS2000 (dont know about its frequency).

      I also got much noise in phone like.

      I got main sockat (there are two few sockats in the BT line before line comes to main sockat) then an ASDL spliter one cable connects th cordless phone and 2nd extention goes towards wireless router then i got ASDL spliter then router.

      Some one asked me to change your router's channel as there chances of conflicts of frequencies of cordless phone and router so i tried at channel 1,3,5,9 n now at finaly 11 but problem still remain the same.
      Some one help please.

      Do you have a Test socket-
      How to test your ADSL in the Master Test Socket

      If you do plug in there and take your stats using only the ADSL cable supplied by Sky.

      When you have done that uplug the router and plug your phone directly into the Test socket. Is it still noisy? It is better if you use a corded phone for this, as cordless phones can create their own noise. If you do have noise, then until that is fixed, it is a waste of time trying to improve your broadband.
