    adsl connection

    This is a discussion on adsl connection within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; i was activated the begining of the month on sky unlimited then during my 10 connection trial had a problem ...

      adsl connection

      i was activated the begining of the month on sky unlimited then during my 10 connection trial had a problem were my connection would go oragne instead of grean then drop to 0kb but would not disconnect then go back to green and then resync at a different rate so i thought it was just it trying out different rates but now it is still doing it . it drops to 0kb from roughly 10 meg then goes to 9.5 meg but connection time is 145 hours and still going . i am using a L.A.N connection. any ideas

      The important uptime is the WAN uptime, what is it stating there? Oh and DLM can take longer than 10 days so you may want to explain how your router connects to your line and what else is on there as sometimes people forget to filter their sky tv box etc.

      sky box is not connected to phone line have sky+ anytime connected to router and also my xbox. router connects straight into master socket on a filtered faceplate but had no trouble with face plate when was with other supplier.

      Any extensions on the line? Try removing the filter plate and plugging directly onto the test socket, something is causing your an issue as your noise margin is very low.
