    User/Pass from D-Link router..(New Customer)

      User/Pass from D-Link router..(New Customer)

      Due to be connected to Sky broadband next week..
      Can I get my user/password from the D-Link router before activation..
      Any simple step by step tut.

      Afraid not, it has to be connected to the internet, in fact unless it comes with the old firmware, you will not get it at all. See- Sky D-Link DSL-2640S Router How To Get Your Username & Password post 37 in particular.

      I got my D-Link only about a week ago and it had 1.11. I quickly got my username/password once it was up and running, just in case.

      I did, but assuming your router comes with 1.11 (which I suspect it will) you'll have some time to get the details.

      Just checked box info ..it does have ver. 1.11

      hello,first post so please be patient,
      have extracted my username and pass from d-link router, but when setting up belkin n router it tells me that my isp didnt accept my details.
      i have made sure all the details including vci and vpi ,pppoa.
      anyone have any ideas been trawling the net for three days now,

      Chances are you've typed them in wrong so copy/paste into notepad as it's easy to differentiate between characters in there as opposed to Word

      Copy and paste them into the password space on the Belkin router. That way there is no chance of making a mistake.
