      Hi Just in the Process off moving to Sky from IdNet and have the above mentioned router would any one have anything to help me tips etc
      OK start this is the modem stats;

      speed

      up down SNR Margin Loop Att.
      832000 8128000 11 0

      I am only a short distance to the exchange its status says;

      You are approximately 78 metres from the exchange. Note that this is the straight line distance - the actual cable length will be longer!.

      I am a gamer so a gaming profile may help from what I have read on web I have to extract the info from supplied to mine .

      You may have difficulty using your own router as you will probably be supplied with a Dlink. The latest firmware for these does not allow the extraction of the username and password, which you need to connect a non Sky router to Sky's broadband service.

      If the router you receive still has the old firmware, see this post - Sky D-Link DSL-2640S Router How To Get Your Username & Password jump in quick and get your username and password before your Sky router updates to the new firmware.

      You should get very near the maximum speeds, 20Mb/1.3Mb.
