      Connects then dies

      My Sky BB has been reliable as hell for years, and last night it went off, had yellow exclamation mark on my net picture on taskbar. I turned the router off and back on and it worked flawlessly for 10 minutes, then cut out again, it has been doing this since, is there a problem in my area? (Lancashire) or should I phone them? I hate ringing them as they make you do tests that I have already done!

      Re: Connects then dies

      Hi. I have exactly the same problem which started yesterday and now the router connects and disconnects almost immediately. I have been with Sky for quite some time and and have had a rock solid connection. I did the usual test, resets etc to no avail. I phoned Sky and they very quickly diagnosed a faulty router.Sky said that a recent upgrade for the router had not worked and this was the problem. I have a white Netgear which will be replaced by the newer black one. For the interim, I retrieved my old BT Voyager 2110 from the attic and it works fine.
      Hope this helps.

      @User05

      The normal required steps of testing master socket, cables, resetting router, etc etc.

      Router seems fine, and tried the original Sky one that came with pckage and thats doing same.
