      Continued slow speed.

Well we have come out of our 10 day testing period on friday last and our broadband is still not great.

Managed a mighty 103kbps on last test 15mins ago. It seems to be congestion as when it come around to after 9pm line speed shoots up to 2mb+ on test with no problem but still have a very slow download speed.

I can post stats etc if that would help but is it worth contacting sky?

Post your stats in the first instance please then we can have a look at what may be wrong.

Was the router continually on for the 10 day testing?

It always helps if you put your exchange name or code in your Profile. Some exchanges are experiencing a lot of throughput difficulties, yours could well be one of them. Post your stats as suggested and they will show if anything obvious is wrong.

If you don't know your exchange name/code, put your full phone number in the box.

To the best of my knowledge the router was connected for 10 days.

      Re: Continued slow speed.

You are getting as much as you can with your present setup, but much less than you should. 7-8Mb is possible. Plug the router into your Test socket using only the cable supplied by Sky and post your stats from there.
How to test your ADSL in the Master Test Socket

Check when the faceplate is removed that your other sockets have no dial tone.

      Re: Continued slow speed.

You are in the area that is suffering problems with the Sky BB network.

Sky are supposedly fixing this issue, but it has so far taken a couple of months.

I'd suggest contacting CST. The first people that you contact will not be able to resolve the issue, you need to get onto the next team (i.e. CST).
