You look to either have a setup issue or line fault as your speed is way too low for your attenuation. How is your router connected to the line and what else is on the telephone line?

Your router had just re-synced 3 mins before taking those stats. Had you reset it because it was already low and you had switched it on/off, or was it like that when you investigated?

Could we ask that you check everything in your test socket and repost your stats too? Don't forget to use the micro-filter

This will rule out any potential issues with the wiring in your home.

Also, could you plug a wired telephone into the telephone socket, dial 1 & listen for any noise?

There is nothing else connected to the line but the route.

I cannot test the test socket because i do not have that screw driver. the head looks like a star, it not a plus or minus head

      Re: Sky broadband stream speed

If your faceplate is secured by torx screws this would be unusual, unless it is a special metal multi connection box, which would probably not have a test socket anyway. Standard faceplates are usually secured with phillips or slot head screws, if yours is torx you can usually remove them using a slot screwdriver about the same size as the star points. Until you can remove this there is little chance of finding out where the problem is.

      Re: Sky broadband stream speed

Even if you were syncing at 2xxx, that is very low, you should have had 16xxx+ which suggests an ongoing problem with your connection. That is why you must try to get plugged into the Test socket, that will rule out or confirm internal wiring errors. Once that is done, trouble-shooting can proceed.
