What do these results mean? Any advise on Speed?

Hi, Please see the following results from my sky broadband.

I got activated today. i used to be sky Be Unlimited and used a draytek router. I am only getting 4 mb/s with sky. I used to get around 14mb /s with be unlimited.

Please let me know what these results mean so i can make a decision on going back to Be unlimited if needed.

      Thanks

DLM will start within the next 72 hours and the speeds will increase over an up to 10 day period. 14mbps is about right with what you'll end up with.

thank you for your response. I really hope that i end up with that speed.
Is there any configuration i need to be aware of? shall i use my draytek eventually or just leave the d-link in place.

I'd leave the Sky router in for the time being until things settle in the next ~13 days. After that, feel free to fire your own router into the mix, as long as you're aware that it's against the t&c (not that Sky particularly care in fairness).

      Scar,

1 more point when DLM kicks in over the next coupe of days ensure you're router is connected at all times and always powered up. If you switch it off or anything like that then DLM can see this as the connection dropping and may slow the speed down. But 14 shoud be fine once DLM has configured your line. FYI- when DLM kicks in you will notice the speed goes up and downfor a couple of days but usually DLM will have you at the write speed after about 3 days although as pointed out by user05 it is on for 10days.

Right, router will stay powered on. it's usually always on anyways. I did just reconfigure the standard settings of the box. ie change password and the subnet and security for wireless etc.

      fingers crossed now.

      Thanks for your input guys.

I will update you on how it goes in the next few days.
